He Crafts Life from our Mistakes

Five years ago I was a really messed up person.
Then Jesus changed my life completely.

And today I am still a really messed up person.

Somewhere in 'messed-up-story-land' lies the reason I am starting a blog, because through our messes God creates beauty.
He saved me from depression and anxiety and a life full of pain and secrets. For that reason, because he saved me, I can never live complacent again. I have seen too much pain in the world, too much suffering, and he didn't save me so I could do nothing.

In one way or another, we are all called to go. The going looks different for everyone. Some 'going' means graduating college. Some 'going' means talking to someone intimidating. Some 'going' means finding a new job. Some 'going' means the local community. Some 'going' means throughout our own country. Some 'going' means leaving our own country.
And absolutely all this 'going' is of equal value and importance to God.

So this is me, saying I want to write about my 'going.'

The initial reason to start this blog is because I am going back to Honduras this summer, and I want to share my experiences with my friends and family. I will admit that at first I was not really comfortable with the idea of blogging, because 1) who wants to read about my life? and 2) I don't want to come across like I have so much to say, because I don't. Haha. But through the mistakes, through the mess, God is working, crafting life and making beautiful. So I write, not because I have so much to say, but because God is doing so much already, and I want to join in, and share about it in the process.
